PRIVACY POLICY

I am Ella-Ilona Stern, the author and publisher of the Colecta software application, and I am respecting the privacy of my users ("you"). This Privacy Policy explains how I’m collecting, using and safeguarding your information when you are using my software application (the “Application”).   Please read this Privacy Policy carefully.  IF YOU DO NOT AGREE WITH THE TERMS OF THIS PRIVACY POLICY, PLEASE DO NOT USE THE APPLICATION.  

I’m reserving the right to make changes to this Privacy Policy at any time and for any reason. I will alert you about any changes by updating the “Last updated” date of this Privacy Policy. You are encouraged to periodically review this Privacy Policy to stay informed of updates. You will be deemed to have been made aware of, will be subject to, and will be deemed to have accepted the changes in any revised Privacy Policy by your continued use of the Application after the date such revised Privacy Policy is posted.   

This Privacy Policy does not apply to the third-party online/mobile store from which you install the Application or make payments, including any in-app virtual items, which may also collect and use data about you. I’m not responsible for any of the data collected by any such third party.  

COLLECTION OF YOUR INFORMATION 

The information collected by the Application depends on the Application’s features you use, and it includes: 

Personal Data
I may store non-personally identifiable information (technical data) collected while the application is accessing server resources on the Internet.

Mobile Device Access  

I may request access or permission to certain features from your mobile device, including your mobile device’s storage. If you wish to change the Application’s access or permissions, you may do so in your device’s settings. 

USE OF YOUR INFORMATION 

All the information collected by you while using the Application (links, notes, Favorites List) is stored locally in the device where the Application is installed and running. The technical data about the Application usage (server logs) are stored temporarily in a private database and are used for improving the Application and rationalizing the consumption of the Application's server resource usage. 

The Application is collecting and storing locally the strictly necessary information for using the Application’s features, and the permissions for the local storage are needed for storing the temporary data necessary for the functioning of the Application, for saving on the local storage the data requested explicitly by the user, and respectively restoring from the local storage the files selected manually by the user. 

DISCLOSURE OF YOUR INFORMATION 

The Application is not accessing the user's personally identifiable data, and the data collected by the user is stored solely on the device where the Application is installed, consequently I am not able to disclose such data.

I’m not responsible for the actions of third parties with whom you share personal or sensitive data, and I have no authority to manage or control third-party solicitations.  If you no longer wish to receive correspondence, emails or other communications from third parties, you are responsible for contacting the third party directly.  

THIRD-PARTY WEBSITES 

The Application may contain links to third-party websites and applications of interest, including advertisements and external services, that are not affiliated with me. Once you have used these links to leave the Application, any information you provide to these third parties is not covered by this Privacy Policy, and I cannot guarantee the safety and privacy of your information. Before visiting and providing any information to any third-party websites, you should inform yourself of the privacy policies and practices (if any) of the third party responsible for that website, and should take those steps necessary to, in your discretion, protect the privacy of your information. I am not responsible for the content or privacy and security practices and policies of any third parties, including other sites, services or applications that may be linked to or from the Application. 

SECURITY OF YOUR INFORMATION 

I am using technical security measures to help protect your personal information. The temporary data generated and used by the Application is stored in a protected zone. 

While I have taken reasonable steps to secure the temporary data, please be aware that despite my efforts, no security measures are perfect or impenetrable, and no method of data storing can be guaranteed against of misuse.   

POLICY FOR CHILDREN 

I’m not knowingly solicit information from or market to children under the age of 13. If you become aware of any data I have collected from children under age 13, please contact me using the contact information provided below.  

OPTIONS REGARDING YOUR INFORMATION 

Upon uninstalling the Application the temporary data generated and used by the Application is erased completely. 

If you no longer wish to receive correspondence, emails, or other communications from third parties, you are responsible for contacting the third party directly.
